We are often the harshest critics of ourselves as nobody knows you better than YOU.
As evidenced by many past life experiences, upon going to the other side of the veil, you are greeted (often by one of your guides or angels) who loves you for exactly who you are, including all of your quirks and perceived 3rd dimensional flaws.
Imagine if we could all love like that?
They key is to look past the physical and see into the soul.
For example, in my life, I’ve dated women of all shapes and sizes. Some women are larger than others but their hearts and souls are all equally the same size. Our outward appearance is merely a shell that houses our true selves, which is pure, unconditional love, but being placed in this 3rd dimensional reality tends to bring us further away from that experience as the controllers desire to keep us distracted with “things” and “stuff” while taking us further away from what we truly should be focusing on: LOVE and doing things we are passionate about.
Magazines, such as Glamour and Seventeen, show images of women who are on the verge of anorexia while falsely pushing the narrative that all women should look like this. This trend actually began in the 1920’s and has continued today. Historically, around the 17th-18th century, women who carried extra weight were viewed as being healthy and prosperous, as well as being successful in motherhood.
While one should always be conscientious of their health, being comfortable in your own body is total acceptance, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Not too long ago, I saw a large woman on the beach wearing a bikini and thought to myself, “Good for her!” She didn’t allow society’s perceived views of obesity alter how she wanted to express herself and was confident enough to do so. Without needing to say a word, I could tell that she loved herself enough, unconditionally, to be able to express who she is without any regard for what other people thought.
This is one of the things I’m still working on. I tend to see the best in everyone else, OTHER than myself.
And that’s where it all begins: WITHIN.
We sometimes don’t feel the unconditional love that our parents gave us because it was often mixed in with discipline. Until we become parents, it’s difficult to understand unconditional love, which is one of the many beautiful lessons my daughter taught me.
We’ve all been in relationships that have ended horribly. Some more than others. The hurt and pain creates barriers and until we address these issues, those barriers will remain in place. This doesn’t necessarily mean pointing the finger at the other person. It usually means looking into the mirror and pointing the finger at ourselves. That’s when the REAL work begins.
I’m still working on this, myself, so for those who are also going through this, know that you’re not alone.
It’s also important to remember your inner child, who would love to come out an play! In many adult relationships, we’ll see silly arguments that end up getting blown out of proportion, while the inner child still wants to jump in mud puddles.
This artwork perfectly describes the feeling:
As children, we didn’t see anything other than what was in our immediate reality and how other people reacted. Children do not innately hate and simply want to play with their friends.
Isn’t that how we feel as adults, too?
As children, we could go up to any other child, even if we never met him or her before, and ask them if they wanted to play with us. We didn’t know rejection and even if we got rejected, it didn’t affect us because it wasn’t taken personally.
Upon birth, children rely on basic needs, love being one of them. Hatred and fear are learned behaviors.
Imagine waking up and feeling total, unconditional love? I received a vision of that several years ago. I saw a white light flood the planet and the only thing I could feel was perfect, unconditional love to a magnitude I’ve never experienced before. The only way I can describe it is to imaging someone you love with all of your heart. For me, it’s my daughter. Then, magnify that love a million times and THAT’S the love you’ll feel when the event occurs.
When you feel love of this magnitude, you no longer are concerned about 3rd dimensional issues, such as money, politics, or religion. The last thing on your mind is being upset at a person you had a disagreement with. You only feel PURE LOVE.
This is where we’re heading. In the meanwhile, we can only work on ourselves and hope and intend that the inward love is reflected outwards.
