Health is wealth from Source transformed to quality living and longevity many persons aspire for. We neglected better health desires for perfection, pursued money and power over others. Of late, medical doctors and scientists have found, identified, studied and analyzed five places called blue zones which are the islands of Sardinia, Italy, Ikaria, Greece, Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, Okinawa, Japan and Loma Linda, California. The first four are Islands where people live on well selected diet, exercise, a nap, family and socializing as they are far from commercialization and industrialization. Blue zones will teach us the secret of living long lives, their practices that is if you desire it. With these findings, human education on these living secrets should be at the forefront of higher education in all schools. Babies, toddlers, little children should be taught how to eat fruits and vegetables to ‘educate’ their palates and the regimen of exercises. Adults who would follow the blue zone practices can be self-educated on diet and exercise.
ISLAND OF IKARIANS (Icarus): Other than the absence of urban sprawl and industrialization, the island is subjected to uncontrolled seas and weather disturbances, thus there are no shipping lines operating at their shores forcing the Ikarians of 9,000+ people live and go back to nature. Keep on dancing if you must or love doing it like Ikarians as it is a form of exercise says my cardiologist-internist Dr. Rody Sy. Choose between constant brisk walking, ballroom dancing or swimming or a combination of the three.
The best motto is to have a positive attitude, serve others and family with unconditional love making sure your body is first well served, healthy and strong thus allowing you to help others. Live well, live long and live healthy, the wonder of wonders!
