Here we are on one planet, one people, one life. Most of us are trying to find and live peace. Some of us are looking outside of ourselves – in another person, more possessions, someone’s love, emotional connections. This peace has to start within.
There are many ways to reach God. One may observe and pray in a cathedral of glass. Another in a cathedral of the open sky and mountains. Others may bow down on the floor facing east, and pray five times a day. Each has their own place.
In all the “politics” of religion remember, that it is a handful of people who create havoc. It is a small percentage of a race or system of religion who are miserable people and just want to ruin everyone else’s life. Most people of any nationality are just trying to get through the day with as much dignity that they can muster. Most people on this planet are good. They want to be loving and even show it to a stranger on the street. It has happened to me many times. I will pass someone on the street and we will exchange a knowing smile. The feeling of unconditional love between us blossoms.
Many people are running around the planet saying, “My way is the best way. My way is the ONLY way to God.” When looked upon from a “higher” picture, when looked upon from a Heavenly gaze…metaphysically speaking (ie before the physical) in Spirit, WE ARE “ONE.” Everyone of us makes up the “One Body of God.” We are truly One in Spirit.
Maya, our world, is illusion. As the great Yogi Saint, Yogananda said, “Maya is illusion. The magical power in creation where separation and division is apparently present in the immeasurable and inseparable.”
In Spirit there is no separation. Only as we manifest into the physical does the “idea” of separation and duality take hold. We all feel alone sometimes. In reality, we are “One in Spirit.
